Post subject:  Geller ax150f Error code help

Hi
I have a geller ax150-f and its completely locked and cant do anything with it. It shows e5 then if i touch it again it shows e6. It also displays 0.0 sometimes. I have searched the internet and still cant get anywhere. I have tried clr and pressing 1 but no luck. we dont have any clerk i'd's and never have so its not a case of the wrong clerk id like some manuals are suggesting. Please help my new till is a nightmare. Thanks in advance xx

The clerk system is there to prevent fraud. Everything gets logged under a clerk. The clerk usually stays logged in but sometimes you can get signed off such as when there is a power cut (it depends upon model and settings). The default clerk ID code is 1 so press CLR (to clear the error) then press 1 on the numeric keys, then press the button labelled ID ON/OFF. That should sign clerk 1 on to the terminal and you are ready to go.
