I have my PCR-T500 set up to calculate sales tax. For general transactions it works just fine. However, I run into a problem when I give a customer a discount.

The sales tax calculated is on the undiscounted amount. For example, the customer buys items totaling $100 dollars. I give them a 10% discount. At the end of the transaction I press <SUBTOTAL>, it shows $107.50 which is $100 plus $7.50 sales tax. I type [1] [0] [%-] which gives them a 10% discount. Now the display shows $97.50, which is wrong (that total is $90 (the discounted amount) plus $7.50 (the sales tax on the full $100). It should be $96.75 ($90 plus 7.5% of $90).

I assume that there is a switch I set somewhere in the setup, but I have been unable to locate it.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?
